1966 Belgium Browning Midas 3 Barrel Set 20ga 28ga 410ga 28" Barrels Skeet Chokes 3" Chambers RKLT Hand Engraved by J. Lodewyck
Description: Up for sale is an unusual Belgium Browning Superposed Midas Grade 3 barrel skeet set from 1966. This is because the frame is a 410ga with the "J" suffix in the serial number. Usually the 3 barrel sets used the 20ga frame with the "V" suffix. All 3 barrels of this set are serial numbered to the frame with the 410ga set being the primary barrel set. Desirable 3" chambers and 28 inch barrels and round knob long tang field configured stock. I have a letter on order from Browning but no details on the history of this gun yet. In all likelyhood this gun was originally just a 410ga Midas grade that was then later fitted with the 28ga and 20ga barrels. The engraving and configuration of all 3 barrels are identical and in my opinion indistinguishable from factory, in esence the work was likely done by Browning. The set is in very nice condition, there are some light handling marks throughout but nothing too obtrusive. The stock measures 13 7/8" to the end of the wood and 14.5" to the end of the pad. This means the stock has been trimmed about 1/8-1/4" from its factory dimension. There is some minor scattered wear present but the gun presents very well and could be carefully used or displayed! Comes with the original manual serial numbered to the gun as well as the original plastic lifetime warranty card serial numbered to this gun! Vintage firearms are a passion of mine.
