The Browning Superposed is one of the finest over/under shotguns in history and one of John Browning’s most brilliant designs. Produced in plain-Jane field grades to the most elaborately engraved and finely stocked shotguns ever seen, production of the Browning Superposed was done in Belgium, running strong from 1931 through 1977 when traditional production stopped. This fine Superposed, sn92216 S8, made in 1968, has 30” barrels choked IM/F with mirror bores, 99.5% factory condition on all metal and wood, with the barrels still tight on the hinge and breech face like a new gun. This Diana Trap gun has barely been fired and was never used for heavy competitive shooting like many trap guns were. She is a grand example of a high-grade Browning Diana Grade, with extraordinary wood, incredible hand cut, deep-carved engraving with deep-relief game scenes, shaded backgrounds, and wonderful bank-note style scroll signed by signed by noted engraver Reno Greco. The gun retains 99.5% factory original condition with no handling marks anywhere on the gun, and retaining a Browning butt pad that came on all BROADWAY TRAP GUNS. The gun comes with the original Browning Airways hard case that is in excellent condition. Weighing 8lbs. 1oz. and balanced 1/8” ahead of the hinge pin, this is a very competitive trap gun that has the good looks that will demand attention at the club! IMPORTANT! This gun has been salt tested by our gunsmiths and comes with a written certificate from Vintage Firearms, Inc. guaranteeing the gun to be free of any salt or related maladies.
