****SOLD**** Browning BPS Trap Model Pump Shotgun Chambered in 12 Gauge **Excellent Condition - Very Nice**
Description: ****SOLD**** Here we have an excellent 1979 mfg Browning BPS chambered in 12 gauge. In 1975, when the team at Browning was developing a shotgun to compete with the Ithaca Model 37, the Remington Model 870, and the Mossberg Model 500, they looked back to the original John Browning design. True to the original, the then-new gun would feature bottom feeding and ejection but with modern enhancements and design improvements that instantly made it stand out in the crowded pump shotgun market. When that gun finally launched in 1977, it was known as the Browning Pump Shotgun (BPS). The BPS uses a rugged, steel frame and twin action bars for long-lasting, bind-free, pump-action performance. This particular BPS example is a BPS Trap model which features a raised comb and a magazine cutoff. The 30" full choked barrel has a clean shiney bore with a high ventilated rib with white mid bead and front sight. The length of pull is 14 1/4" and drop and heel and comb are both 1 1/4". The metal is in excellent condition and the wood is in very good condition with most marks being on the right side of the stock most likely from going in and out of a safe and coming in contact with other guns. This Browning would make an excellent addition to an existing collection or a great first gun for a beginning trap shooter. Makers box is included.
