1960 Belgian Browning Pointer Grade RKLT 20ga 26" Barrels Choked Modified over Improved Cylinder Signed by Legiers
Description: Up for sale is an exceedingly desirable Belgium Browning Pointer grade chambered in 20 gauge! Manufactured in 1960 this would be the first true production year of the Pointer grade, field configured with the round knob stock and long tang trigger gaurd with IC/MOD chokes, as well as being made before the salt wood epidemic began in 1967. This gun is also signed by Charles Legiers on the right side of the receiver. All of these are huge features when it comes to the superposed, the only drawback is the aftermarket addition of a pad to the stock bringing the LOP to just over 14 1/4" overall and 13 3/8" to the end of the wood. This means the stock has been trimmed about 1/2 inch or so. The rest of the gun remains in respectable condition as lightly field used and handled. The engraving is well executed, the wood quality is quite nice and very representative of the style Browning was using during this period. It is a truly stunning piece. These shotguns in this configuration do not come up for sale often and they are becoming quite expensive, this would be a great chance to own one that could be carefully used without hurting its value! Comes with the pictured period correct Hartmann case with plastic handle completely intact! Vintage firearms are a passion of mine.
