1975 Belgian Browning FN Superposed C2G Grade Superlight 12ga 26" IM/IC Double Signed by A. Cuisset and F. Marechal
Description:
For sale is a very nice Belgian Browning Superposed 12ga shotgun from the Post-Salt Era. Manufactured in 1975 this C2G grade was produced after the salt wood issue which began in 1967 and ended in 1971 or 1972 depending on who you ask.
It features a factory master hand engraved receiver that is signed by F. Marechal on the left panel. The receiver finish is the metallic or chemical grey, which is not common on guns produced from 1962-1976. Some coin or chemical grey finished guns were produced during this era but not many. The metal condition on this shotgun is extremely nice. There are almost no wear marks on the barrels in front of the forearm. The screw heads are sharp and the upper/lower tangs show some signs of wear/use.
The stock and forearm are oil finished, stock features the desired "tear drop" carving behind the receiver and is a superlight or English configuration. Forend is the tapered superlight style or "schnabel" forearm.
The LOP length of pull measures 14" to the end of the recoil pad which is fitted very well to the stock but not factory.
Barrels measure 26" and are choked Improved Modified over Improved Cylinder
This shotgun is a great example of the quality this era of Superposed has to offer. It will be at home in any display and has great promise as a collectible and physical investment as well as a formidable upland game gun that can be enjoyed for generations.
Vintage firearms are a passion of mine. I am more than happy to provide any insight or info that I can regarding vintage Brownings or any other collectible firearms. Do not hesitate to call/text me at 402-314-2729 even if it is not about the gun I have for sale! Love talking with people who have an appreciation for them, sharing my knowledge, and learning more when I can. Lots of dishonest sellers out there, be careful when collecting or investing.
I provide a 5 day inspection period to ensure you are happy with everything and that I was accurate in my description and photographs. I hope to find good homes where these collectible pieces will be appreciated and enjoyed.
Shipping is a flat $80 to lower 48 (PRIORITY MAIL, INSURED FOR THE VALUE OF THE GUN). It will be well packaged and cared for.
