Offering for sale is a gorgeous Browning Superposed Model 25 in 20-Gauge with 28-inch barrels engraved by Master Engraver Angelo Bee. This “fighting cock” themesdgun gun is exquisitely engraved throughout and features nine gold inlaid birds surrounded by beautiful scroll work. The art design of this gun was influenced by the “fighting cock” grade designed by Felix Funken. He was the head engraver at Fabrique Nationale (FN) in Herstal, Belgium for many years. This particular gun features Angelo's own Renaissance style scroll work. The left side of the receiver features two gold inlaid pheasants fighting each other (which is where the fighting cock moniker comes from) with a wood scene background. The right side of the receiver features two gold inlaid ducks in flight with a wood scene background. The forward bottom of the receiver features two gold inlaid foraging bobwhite quails and the rear bottom of the receiver features two gold inlaid mourning doves in a wood scene background. The trigger guard features a gold inlaid bobwhite quail with a wood scene background. This gun has special features such as engraved trigger guard screws and butt stock screws. What makes this gun very special is that the top lever has been chiseled to look like the head of a duck with an eye in yellow gold.
It has the autograph “ABee” and the bee symbol on the left rear side of the receiver. The custom stock, which features a checkered butt plate and a round knob pistol grip, is made of a gorgeous piece of Turkish walnut that was shaped in Belgium and finished by Donnie Gemes. Eubanks Gunsmithing did the finish on the gun. NRA Grade: Excellent.
