1958 Belgian Browning Grade IV Superposed 20ga by C. Roufosse 26.5" Solid Rib Barrels Choked Modified over Improved Cylinder Weighing Only 6.2lbs!
Description:
Up for sale is a tough to find Belgium Browning Superposed 20 Gauge "Fox and Hound" or "Mother of Fox" Grade IV shotgun. This pattern is quite scarce from the factory due its germanic influences and the thought that the American market would not receive it well after the end of WW2. This specific example is an upgrade executed by Christophe Roufosse and it is out of this world! The engraving, wood, finish, and fitment quality of this shotgun are top notch. I do not believe you will find better build quality available anywhere!
Condition is absolutely mint, does not appear to have been used or handled!
Barrels measure 26.5 inches and ar marked Modified over Improved Cylinder but the top barrel measures closer to Improved Modified. The stock has a slightly longer length of pull at 14.5 inches with 1.5 inch drop at comb and 2.5 inch drop at heel and a very slight right hand cast. This gun weighs just 6.2lbs
It is quite a stunning piece and would serve well as a placeholder in lieu of a factory engraved Grade IV 20ga (I have been told by a handful of collectors that they believe only 7-11 20ga grade IV's were produced but I don't believe true records for production exist).
Vintage firearms are a passion of mine. I am more than happy to provide any insight or info that I can regarding vintage Brownings or any other collectible firearms. Do not hesitate to call/text me at 402-314-2729 even if it is not about the gun I have for sale! Love talking with people who have an appreciation for them, sharing my knowledge, and learning more when I can.
I provide a 5 day inspection period to ensure you are happy with everything and that I was accurate in my description and photographs. I hope to find good homes where these collectible pieces will be appreciated and enjoyed.
Shipping is a flat $150 to lower 48 (PRIORITY MAIL, INSURED FOR THE VALUE OF THE GUN). It will be well packaged and cared for.
