1960 Belgian Browning Pointer Grade Trap 12ga 30" Barrels Narrow "Non-Broadway" Rib Choked Full over Modified Signed by R. Risack
Description: Up for sale is an exceedingly desirable pre salt Belgium Browning Pointer grade chambered in 12 gauge! Manufactured in 1960 this would be the first true production year of the Pointer grade, trap configured with the square knob stock and long tang trigger guard, and 30 inch barrels choked F/M with standard-width vent rib as the Broadway rib was not yet in production. The engraving is well executed and signed by Raymond Risack on the right panel, the wood quality is quite nice and very representative of the style Browning was using during this period. It is a truly stunning piece. These shotguns in this original condition do not come up for sale often and they are becoming quite expensive. This is a great chance to add an excellent example to your collection! Condition is quite nice and factory original, there are some minor signs of use and handling but they are largely not noticed unless carfully inspecting in good lighting. You will notice that there is quite a bit of factory grease on the internals, I did clean some of it away for photos. I would consider this gun to fall in to the 95-98% range for both wood and metal condition. Comes with the pictured period correct Hartmann case with plastic handle completely intact and 2 keys!
