1970 Browning A5 Light Twelve 12 Gauge Shotgun 26" IC Choke
** Beautiful Example ** REDUCED!
Description:
The Belgian-made Browning Auto 5 shotgun is one of the most recognizable and collected shotguns in the world. The design features classic good looks with a unique profile, and the A5 quickly earned a reputation for being well-made and reliable during a time when semi-auto shotguns were anything but reliable. This 1970 example of the A5 Light Twelve exhibits many of the sought-after features including a beautiful original gloss-blue factory finish, a 26" inch ventilated rib barrel choked "Improved Cylinder", a gold-finished trigger, and a hand-checkered blond European Walnut stock set with the black FN/Browning factory buttplate. This Light Twelve is 100% original and has not been altered or "improved" in any way since leaving the factory. The gloss blue factory finish is still bright and clean, rating 97%. The only deductions come from some very minor high-edge wear and some very faint handling/storage marks on top of the receiver. The factory gold finish on the trigger shows some flaking/finish wear but does not detract too much from the clean look of the gun. The 26" inch barrel has a perfect bore with no dents, bulges, or pitting, and the vent rib is in excellent condition, free from any dents or seperation from the barrel. The original factory stock set is in excellent condition. Both the forearm and buttstock are free from any cracks, chips, or repairs, and only show some very minor handling/storage marks under very close inspection. The checkered panels on the forearm and buttstock are clean and crisp, they are not soft and soiled with oil. The original factory buttplate is in great shape on this gun, perfectly fit to the butt and tight to the wood. All of the controls on this A5 are in perfect working order. The action is smooth and stout, and the bolt goes into battery with authority. If you have been looking for a Belgian Browning A5 Light Twelve for your collection that you could shoot but is still nice enough to be considered a "collector grade" gun, this is it.
