1965 Belgian Browning A5 Light Twenty Shotgun - 28" Inch Vent Rib Barrel with Modified Choke
Description: Made in Browning's (FN) Belgium factory, "Light Twenty" A5's were only manufactured for less than 20 years from 1958 to 1976. This particular example was made in 1965 and is serial number 5Z89982. It is in excellent 100% original condition with 95% plus of the original factory blue finish remaining. As you can see from the pictures, the finish deductions come from just a tiny bit of high edge wear and some minor handling/use marks. The factory gold finish on the trigger rates 95% as well with only one small spot of finish loss on the lower face of the trigger. These deductions do very little to hurt the beautiful overall appearance of this Light Twenty A5. This Browning has a 28" inch (27.5") ventilated rib barrel that is choked "Modified". It has a beautiful bright bore with no pitting or imperfections of any kind. The original factory checkered Walnut stock set is in great shape overall. Both the forearm and buttstock are free from any cracks or repairs, and only show some very minor handing dings/dents under close inspection. The original factory varnish is still present on 98% of the stock set and still shows glossy and bright. The original FN Browning buttplate is in excellent condition and is perfectly fit and tight to the wood. The length of pull is 14.25" inches to the end of the buttplate. Everything on this Light Twenty A5 works 100% like the day it left the factory. All of the controls work as they were designed to, and the action on this shotgun is smooth and goes into battery with authority. These Belgian made Browning A5's are quite collectible and we do not get many Light Twenty models this nice. If you have been looking for a collector-grade example of this model shotgun you would be hard pressed to find a better one for the money.
