Description:
Browning Superposed Pigeon Grade 12 gauge O/U shotgun. Field configuration with classic round knob, long tang. This gun was made in 1961 which makes it made in the 2nd year of the "modern" Pigeon Grade guns. 28" vent rib barrels that were originally choked F/F. The top barrel was polished-out to Skeet giving the dimensions or .007" on the top barrel and .045" Full on the bottom, which is just the opposite from standard but with a single selective trigger...no problem shooting whichever barrel you want!
The buttstock is original and very highly figured but it has been professionally refinished. It has a 14 1/4" LOP, 1 1/2" DAC and 2 1/2" DAH with neutral case. Gun weighs, 7 lbs 4 oz. and balances perfectly.
For being 62 years old it is in remarkable condition. The barrel blue is 98% with just a small bit of muzzle wear at the muzzle on the bottom right tube. The "coin" finished surfaces show a few spots of oxidation and there is some wear on the long tang. But again, this gun is 62 years old!
