1975 Belgian Browning A5 Light Twelve 12 Gauge Shotgun 28" Modified Choke
** Pristine Late Belgian Production Gun **
Description:
This is an absolutely beautiful example of a late Belgian-production Browning A5 Light Twelve shotgun. This A5 Light Twelve is one of the last guns made at the FN factory for Browning in 1975, by 1976 production of this iconic shotgun had been moved to Japan at the Miroku factory. This Light Twelve features a 28" inch ventilated rib barrel choked "Modified". It is 100% all-original and has not been modified or "improved" in any way except for the front sight bead being swapped to a "Hi-viz" type. The gloss blue factory finish is like-new and appears flawless, rating 98% plus with the only deductions coming from two small marks out on the left side of the vent rib by the "bead". These two little marks were likely made when the previous owner was removing the original bead and installing the "Hi-viz" type sight (There is a close-up picture provided of these marks). The bore in this Light Twelve is minty and bright, with no visible dents, bulges, pitting, or imperfections of any kind. The factory checkered Walnut stock set is also like-new. The gloss finish on both the forearm and buttstock is 100% intact and crystal clear. This is the darker factory Walnut that FN was using at this time, much darker than the blond European Walnut used on earlier production guns. This stock set is free from cracks, chips, repairs, and has perfect checkering panels on the forearm and wrist that are crisp and clean. All of the controls and functions on this Browning Light Twelve are in perfect working order. This gun should function 100% like the day it left the factory in 1975. If you have been looking for a late Belgian production A5 Light Twelve for your collection it would be nearly impossible to upgrade from this pristine example.
