Gorgeous and useful Boss & Co. Best Quality Game gun with extra barrel set

Description:
Built at the absolute peak of production, this gorgeous composed 2 brl set has it all. Set 1. 25” (reduced to this length), 3" chambers, with cross file cut concave top rib and small steel front bead. Polished flats with 1-1/8 oz. proof stamps and bottoms of tubes with SN. Set 2) 28”, 2-3/4" chambers, with cross file cut matted concave top rib which has small steel front bead. This set proved for 1-1/4oz loads and has SN “8292” on tubes with “6955” on top of rear lug. Gun comes with its original splinter forend which is checkered in point pattern and has a modern professionally made slim beavertail forend currently mounted. The casehardened side lock receiver is beautifully engraved, most certainly by master engraver Jack Sumner. The rolled edge blued trigger guard engraved with rose and scroll on bow and tang with SN in relief panel at rear of tang. Gun made with Boss single trigger, auto ejectors, non-auto safety. Currently mounted with a professional replacement stock of nicely figured walnut and has ball grip, is checkered in two point pattern through the wrist, has unengraved gold oval on toe line and terminates with a nicely checkered butt. Gun is accompanied by its original stock which has been heavily modified with a Shiozaki type recoil reducer. SET 1: Weight: 6lbs. 12oz. Min. Wall Thickness: .019(Rt) .020(L). Overall, the gun remains in very good condition. Brl Set 1 is out of proof and shortened, retains about 85% of an older refurbished rust blue with engraving thinned. Bores are very good. Brl Set 2 is excellent and retains more than 95% of an older professionally restored rust blue, engraving thinned a bit. Locks and frame with about 35% light original case color. Engraving is mostly still excellent. Top lever retains about 70% of its original blue. Trigger guard with about 20% blue remaining. Custom buttstock and forend are excellent with minor handling marks and retain nearly all of their professional hand rubbed finish. Orig. forearm is sound. Orig. buttstock modified as noted above. Made at the absolute peak of production quality for a Boss! Gun has recently undergone a complete overhaul servicing by Vicknair restorations and is in perfect mechanical condition ready for another 100 years of service!
