Description:
This beautiful Boss & Co pair is in immaculate condition, being kept very well maintained by their previous owners. Weighing in at barely 6 ¼ lbs each, they have a lively feel and move nicely. The relatively high nearly parallel combs lend themselves nicely to a more modern shooting style and the choice selection of walnut that the stocks were made from is pleasing to the eye. Both actions are identically engraved with Boss & Co's distinct Rose & Scroll engraving which carries through to the trigger guard and tangs. It must be noted though that the light and lively feel may come at the cost of barrel wall thickness, as this is a traditional style gun with 2 ½" chambers, but as long as these fine shotguns are enjoyed with appropriate shells, they will live on for another 100 years. A short history on the guns. They were built in 1929 and it is believed by the boss historian that they were engraved by Jaes Sumner. They had been ordered by a Mr. Cripps, who had lived on Park Lane, and the configuration has been left unchanged since they were built.
