It takes much of its visual design from the shotguns used in the social hunts in the Scottish Highlands from over a century ago. This is evident in the round action – the lack of straight lines gives the action and stock a harmonious appearance, that looks like they’ve grown together organically. The visual appeal is embellished even further with lavish English-style scroll engraving on the action and breech of the shotgun.
The 486 Parallelo sophisticated appearance is perfectly matched with its construction and performance. It comes equipped with redesigned leaf springs to ensure faster, more precise firing pin engagement, as well as a new trigger guard that keeps all the moving parts captive for easy maintenance. The cold-hammer-forged OptimaChoke barrels offer extreme durability, able take virtually any type of from light target loads to high-performance, and Triblock barrel technology increases strength while eliminating visible welding lines. One of the 486 Parallelo’s more innovative features is a gravitational safety that engages if the gun is dropped, and the ability to choose between automatic and manual extraction provides more versatility. In addition, the 486 Parallelo delivers impeccable handling with the point-of-balance right at the hinge-pin. This allows the user to bring the 486 Parallelo to their shoulder naturally and instinctively.
