Description: **Sale Pending** Beretta ASEELL, made in 1959, the highest grade boxlock Beretta ever made, these guns are beloved for having true small proportioned frame and wood making them very lightweight and fast guns, 5 lbs. 11 oz., 2 3/4" chambers, 26" barrels with a hand file cut solid rib, choked .015 Mod. and .025 Full, ejectors, scalloped boxlock action with hidden crossbolt, 100% coverage hand engraved acanthus style foliate that is painstakingly stippled in all normally void areas, engraving signed by B. Consoli, two banners on bottom of action engraved "Brevettato" (translates to "Patented") and "P. Beretta, Gardone VT", single gold trigger, highly figured European walnut, straight grip, contoured slim forend, 14 3/4" LOP over a leather covered pad, 1 3/8" DAC x 2 1/4" DAH, 1/16" cast off, trigger guard with vacant shield, vacant gold stock oval, looks to have originally had a sling swivel hanging from the center rib that was removed and professionally filled. This upgraded engraving and wood ASEELL version of the more common ASEL had very limited production and is rare to find on the market, both versions were made between 1947 and 1964. Truly one of the finest lightweight handling boxlock handmade guns ever.
