Up for sale is a stunning Custom AYA No.2 Round Action -- This is a Fieldsport Briarwood Model - 12 Gauge, 30 Inch Barrels, Exhibition Wood, Auto Safety, Ejectors, and a Gold Oval, with someones initials engraved. I am not the original owner, but this is clearly a special gun. The issue and the reason I am selling is because it is a pretty Cast-On stock, which I didnt know when I originally purchased it online, and it doesnt fit me. I am to understand it that Cast-On would generally be for a left handed shooter, but really I am not too sure. I will say that its probably one of the best balanced guns I have ever handled, and by far the best 12ga I have ever handled. I was very excited to take this out hunting after purchasing, only to discover I couldnt hit much and that I had a hard time lining up with the front bead, so here we are. Fieldsport is a premier importer of AYA shotguns, this has Fieldsport marked on the barrels.
The wood and metal are in excellent condition, engraving and case hardening is minty. I assume this gun has been fired very little. I shot it a bit when I learned it wouldnt fit me, and despite not hitting much I can tell you that the triggers are crisp and the ejectors are strong and set correctly. Everything locks tight. There is no rust of any kind, its been a safe queen I'd guess.
There are a few imperfections on the stock and metal which I have tried to picture. It's not perfect, but its in really nice shape. Main blemishes is near the reciever on the right stock where it just looks like the finish is worn, and on the left side near reciever there is a small dent. I also see a little bit of imperfection in the wood to metal around the reciever, but with a handmade gun maybe that is normal. There are some small dents/blemishes which I have tried to photo.
