Description:
Inherited Winchester M1912 pump shotgun (Serial # 199190) manufactured late 1918/1919 in riot gun configuration. 20-inch barrel, 39-inches overall. No information beyond general research, Has original M-1907 sling and hard Winchester butt plate replaced at some time with recoil pad (looks vingage M1200?). Barrel has M-97 heatshield with bayonet lug, possibly an add-on. No military markings visible as on the '97 WW1 era trenchguns or WWII/Korea era weapons. Wood (stock and forearm) is very good, no cracks or dings, some discoloring at wrist. Some case hardening remains on receiver but othwise light patina, scuff marks, and finish loss with high edge wear. Bore is very good to excellent. Action tight and crisp. This gun has been well-used but in very good, shootable, condition for a vintage 124 year-old classic shotgun.
