Participants will deepen their understanding of shooting with a pistol-mounted optic (PMO) also known as a red dot, with a focus on practical application, recoil management, and advanced target acquisition techniques. The course covers PMO sight-in, the advantages and limitations of shooting with optics, and how to effectively engage multiple targets from various positions and under dynamic conditions such as shooting while moving. Students will also engage in drills to fine-tune their optics, practice shooting with both dominant and non-dominant hands, and develop techniques for self-diagnosing issues with their PMOs. The class culminates in a competitive-style shoot to demonstrate the increased speed and precision achievable with a red dot.
