Description: General Specs: Winchester, 1941, .22S/L/LR, 5lbs. 8oz., LOP 13 7/16″ Serial Number: 49777 Released in 1932 the Model 61 was a modern hammerless design, all 61’s are takedown guns either for cleaning or storage. The Model 61 proved to be a very popular rifle, production continued until 1963 with over 340,000 made. This stunning example, serial number 49777 was manufactured in 1941. Showing all original factory finishes this Model 61 is in 99% overall condition. It has a 10/10 perfect bore with sharp rifling. The American walnut stock and forend show excellent wood to metal fit, the furniture has modest handling marks. The front-loading tube magazine handles 20 short, 17 long, and 14 long rifle cartridges in any order. The Model 61 is a classic example of the American slide action and, weighing an impressive 5lbs. and 8oz., this graceful rifle is light and nimble, accurate, rapid and reliable, and above all, fun to shoot!
