Winchester 94 AE XTR 356 Winchester Stunning Well Made Lever Good For Game Up To Moose and Elk

First off this generation of 94's ...The Big Bore AE (with clever re designe such that a scope may be mounted and used in the conventional positon) and beefed up receivers to handle the hotter modern 444's, 375 Win, 356 and 307 cals. are to us nicer than any standard pre 64's except high grade deluxes. The quality of material, design, fit and especially the very highly polished blued is 2d to none. Of the cal's offered the 356 seems to be the one most want and is balistically equivalent to the now always sought after 358 Win. For a man who wants to hunt game up to moose and elk at ranges up to 200 yards and wants to carry a handsome and pleasant to carry lever gun this would be a great choice.
This particular example is an XTR (meaning extra finish), had a handsome monte carlo comb (not unlike the lst gen Marlin 444's which have grown so much in collector interest last produced in approx 1972...speaking of the Marlins)...nicely real cut checkered and strait grained American Walnut Stocks.
This gun has been lighly used and well cared for ...still has front site hood and almost no handling marks.....We love these guns...they are keepers. This one comes with a Bushnell Banner half tube 2.5 x scope. While not expensive these are excellent and are owned by the highly regarded Bausch and Lomb co. This scope might be ideal for thight woods but a little more glass would be better for the longer ranges this gun is capable of.( we have many excellent used Leupolds and others...inquire) If you havn't hunted with one many of the 35's (including the old 35 Rem) they are real game getters

First off this generation of 94's ...The Big Bore AE (with clever re designe such that a scope may be mounted and used in the conventional positon) and beefed up receivers to handle the hotter modern 444's, 375 Win, 356 and 307 cals. are to us nicer than any standard pre 64's except high grade deluxes. The quality of material, design, fit and especially the very highly polished blued is 2d to none. Of the cal's offered the 356 seems to be the one most want and is balistically equivalent to the now always sought after 358 Win. For a man who wants to hunt game up to moose and elk at ranges up to 200 yards and wants to carry a handsome and pleasant to carry lever gun this would be a great choice.
This particular example is an XTR (meaning extra finish), had a handsome monte carlo comb (not unlike the lst gen Marlin 444's which have grown so much in collector interest last produced in approx 1972...speaking of the Marlins)...nicely real cut checkered and strait grained American Walnut Stocks.
This gun has been lighly used and well cared for ...still has front site hood and almost no handling marks.....We love these guns...they are keepers. This one comes with a Bushnell Banner half tube 2.5 x scope. While not expensive these are excellent and are owned by the highly regarded Bausch and Lomb co. This scope might be ideal for thight woods but a little more glass would be better for the longer ranges this gun is capable of.( we have many excellent used Leupolds and others...inquire) If you havn't hunted with one many of the 35's (including the old 35 Rem) they are real game getters
