SCARCE WWI Era WINCHESTER Model 1894 .25-35 WCF Cal. LEVER ACTION RIFLE C&R Iconic Repeating Rifle Made in 1918
Description: SCARCE WWI Era WINCHESTER Model 1894 .25-35 WCF Cal. LEVER ACTION RIFLE C&R Iconic Repeating Rifle Made in 1918 Here we present a C&R Winchester Model 1894 Lever Action Rifle, made in 1918 in New Haven, Connecticut. The credit for the design of such a prolific firearm again lies with John Moses Browning, who lent his extensive design talents to a large number of weapon types throughout his career. The Model 1894 was the first Winchester rifle made for use with the new technology of smokeless powder and was developed as a hunting rifle. Over 7.5 million were produced from 1894 until 2006. While various cartridges were supported throughout the run of the gun, the .30-30 Winchester became its staple. In practical use, the Model 1894 became a favorite for general shooters and hunters alike. To this day, it remains a deer hunting favorite, and, in all likelihood, more deer have been taken with the 1894 than any other. This Model 1894 rifle features a 26-inch octagon barrel chambered in scarce .25-35 Winchester Center Fire. The .25-35 was, and still is, a fairly short-range, small to medium game cartridge, but it has been known to take animals such as elk and moose. This one is in classic lever rifle form with an octagonal barrel and crescent butt plate. The overall condition is very good. Original finish. The action is excellent. The bore is bright with strong rifling. The underside of the forearm shows some old pressure dents. The walnut is solid. A great example in .25-35! This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Barrel is 26 inches. Caliber: .25-35 WCF Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING. Will need to be sent to your local FFL. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. ancestryguns $2600 #226378 SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
