WINCHESTER MODEL 1885 LOW WALL WINDER MUSKET IN 22 SHORT
Description:
This is the third version/generation of the Winder Musket configuration that Winchester actually called the Model 87 for some reason. It features the Low Wall receiver, Lyman 53 receiver sight, a single barrel/forearm band and a 28 inch round barrel chambered in 22 Short. Plain oil finished walnut straight grip stock with carbine style trapdoor butt plate. Full length military style finger groove forend with sling swivels and a blued steel nose cap. Gun is very good condition retaining better than 90% original finish overall. Excellent bore is minty bright with strong rifling. Would be hard to improve upon in this fine condition.
