Winchester Model 61 22 Long Rifle Shotgun With Original Counter Bored Barrel

Description:
This Winchester shotgun was produced in 1956. The shotgun's serial number is 247338. The barrel is factory counter bored to help spread the shot. This receiver is the new style with the grooved top to mount a scope. The 24 inch barrel has no provision for a rear sight. The front sight is a German Silver shotgun bead sight. The bore is in very fine condition. The barrel is properly marked for 22 Long Rifle for Shot Only. This Winchester has some scratches on the receiver by the back top section. Also there is some scratches on the right side of the stock where the stock fits up against the receiver base. The original bluing would rate a 97% or better condition. The stock and forend have no cracks or other damage to the wood The original wood finish is intact. This was the last year for the stock to have the steel checkered butt plate. After this, the stock had a plastic butt plate with the Winchester logo. This is a nice condition Winchester Shotgun! These Model 61's that were made to shoot shot shells are rare. Here is a fine condition Shot Only that you can have fun shooting and it is still a collector quality gun for the collector!
