Winchester Model 1885 Low Wall, Cal. .32 Long RF, 24 Inch Octagon Barrel, 1898 Vintage

Description:
Winchester Model 1885 Low Wall fitted with a 26 inch octagon barrel, open sights, standard trigger, walnut forearm with ebony tip, walnut stock with steel crescent butt-plate, built on a solid frame, and is chambered in .32 Long Rim Fire.  This 1898 vintage rifle is in very good condition, with the barrel retaining 70% blue finish and the frame having turned a medium grey patina.  The trigger, hammer, and butt-plate have lost all of their original case colors, having turned a silver grey patina.  The stock and forearm fit well to the frame, but appear to have been lightly sanded and refinished.  The action is tight and functions perfectly.  The bore is shootable, with strong rifling, but there are spots of corrosion.  There were a total of 3,263 Model 1885's chambered in .32 Long Rim Fire manufactured.  This is an antique firearm, no FFL required.                                                      PRICE:    $850             We are Antique & Modern Firearms in Lexington, KY, dealer of fine firearms since 1974.                    PH. 859-276-1419         We Buy, Sell and Trade Firearms & Knives.    Have a Individual Firearm,  Firearms Collection, or Firearms Estate to sell, let us know, we can buy or consignment sell it for you.                   NOTE:  No additional fee for a Credit Card payment.
