Description:
Made between 1890 and 1941 the Winchester 1890 was one of the most successful pump action .22 rifles ever made. This example, originally made in 1900 is starting to show its years. This rifle appears to have had its barrel replaced at least once, as one of the patent dates on the barrel is for 1911. The stock has wear that is befitting of its age and is coated in either shellac or lacquer, the stock also bears the initials of one of the previous owners on the left side of the wrist. The barrel condition is fair to good, with some original finish remaining and rifling still present in the bore, however it is somewhat pitted, the front sight is also broken. Mechanically the action seems to have good function, the sears all still engage and feel crisp plus the lifter and magazine still work. This should be a fine rifle to restore or a good gun for youth as the barrel should have some life to it still. Manufactured in: USA Hand: NONE Action Finish: Case Colored Metal Finish: Original Barrel Length: 24 Inches Barrel Condition: Fair Stock Finish: Refinished Stock Condition: Fair Type of Butt: Crescent Steel Plate Grip: Straight Grip Forend: Ribbed Extra Barrels: No.
