Two rare Winchester model 1890 rifles with extras.
Description: One is a nice collectible Model 1890 Gallery Gun .22 short with the triangular loading port for use with speed loaders. These were used in shooting galleries in fairs and carnivals. Winchester 1890s have often been called Gallery Guns, but most have rectangular shaped loading gates. These are not true Gallery Guns. As an added bonus there are two vintage shooting gallery 15 shot speed loading tubes.
The tubes are stamped WESTERN TRADEMARK MADE IN THE USA, WINCHESTER. These were used in Lincoln Park shooting gallery in Dartmouth, Mass. These speed loaders are very hard to find and sell for as much as $60 a piece and some are listed even higher.
The second is an early 3rd Model 1890. This one is chambered, scarce .22 WRF, a great cartridge for larger small game. In addition, I will also include a new box of 50 CCI WRF cartridges.
The overall condition of both rifles are very good. The markings are clear and legible. Both rifles have matching serial numbers. Winchester 1890 .22 short gallery gun......# 656051, matching on tang and receiver. Winchester 1890 .22 WRF......# 360011, matching on tang and receiver. The walnut stocks are in good shape. Nice action on both rifles. Each have 24” octagon barrels and crescent shaped butt plates. The metal finish on both rifles is smooth, no rust or pitting having a nice dark gray patina. The bore on the .22 short is dark with shallow rifling, may clean up. The bore on the .22WRF is very nice, bright and shiny with very good rifling.
The price has been reduced to sell and this is your chance to pick up two nice collectible 1890 Winchester rifles plus extras. Total shipping is $60.00 Tracking # provided.
The .22 ammunition pictured in the speed loaders is for show and are not included.
