Scarce Original Pre-War Winchester Model 62 "5" Spot Gallery Gun Mfg 1936

Serial #37430, .22 Short, 23 inch barrel with a bright, excellent bore. This is the Winchester Model 62 slide action, take down rifle manufactured in 1936 and branded and used in Michigan at the famous "5" SPOT shooting gallery during the mid to late 1930's and has the "Gallery" configuration with wide loading port and is ".22 SHORT" only. In fine to very fine condition the metal surfaces of this working rifle have toned to a mix of gray-brown with very good solid coverage and remnants of blue in protected areas. The ten groove forearm is solid with light use marks and the original "5" SPOT marked stock is also solid showing many old contusions and use marks sporting the original hard rubber Winchester butt plate. It is sighted with an adjustable rear and small blade front sight. This gun looks to be untouched. It shows even honest wear from years of use. The action works smoothly with tight lock up and crisp trigger. A rare, original Winchester "5" Spot gallery gun. FFL or C&R
