Here's a worthy example of the highly coveted Pre War Winchester Model 70, considering its completely unaltered condition, albeit with some blue wear and handling marks on the wood.
It would make the ultimate hunting rifle, while still maintaining collectibility due to the original finishes and undrilled rear receiver bridge.
S/N 54031 with a matching scribed bolt issued in 1946 but of 100% Pre War components and finish.
24" barrel with excellent bore. Caliber .30GOV'T.'06. The mechanical functions remain crisp and flawless.
About 90% original finishes showing general blue wear and numerous light handling marks on the surface of the wood. There are a couple of more moderate patches of wear on the off bolt side where it surely got laid down the most. Still a very solid and nice looking rifle overall.
