Custom Pre-64 Winchester Model 70 Featherweight rifle in 30/06, stocked by J. Nicklas in 1976 and so marked in the barrel channel.
The metal is the original Pre-64 Winchester Model 70 Featherweight with the original 22 inch barrel, hollow bolt handle, and floorplate/trigger guard.
The stock appears to be high grade English walnut with a generous amount of point pattern checkering. The bolt handle and bolt stop/release are also checkered. The pistol grip cap is checkered.
Weight is 7.25 pounds and the LOP is 13.25 inches over a 3/4-inch Pachmayr recoil pad.
An excellent rifle.
