Winchester Model
1894
Antique - special order - made in 1897 - Nice
Description: This is a very fine, higher condition Winchester Model 1894. Serial no. 26871 - made in 1897 - all correct with Cody search. Very nice original condition. It is a full octagon with a button, or half magazine - a great configuration. It has a 26" barrel, chambered in the .30 WCF, with an excellent, bright clean bore. It has nice sharp lands and grooves with little to light wear, about a 9 on a 10 scale. The rifle shows moderate honest wear from the last 127 years. The receiver retains excellent original factory blue with light carry wear and some finish loss at the top right rear of the receiver. The barrel has nice blue with some areas of oxidation - mostly smooth, not quite rust freckling. There are a few minor dings - most noticeably right side of the barrel midway. There are still faded case colors visible on the hammer and lever - less on the lever, which also has a small spot of light corrosion at the back/rear of the loop. The wood is very nice, tight solid, great corners at the wrist. The buttstock is an upgrade over standard wood, it shows some light fiddleback figure. The wood has several scattered marks, impressions and minor scratches, but is very good. Overall this is a great looking, honest antique Winchester that has survived in high condition. **** It is an 'Antique', and can ship directly to the buyer in Most states -not NJ, and some others. I am a FFL and do require that you can legally own a firearm and provide a copy of your state issued D.L. ***** Price includes shipping and insurance, certified funds preferred, but I can accept a C. Card with a 3% fee. ***** Thank you
