1894 Winchester Takedown Short Rifle Rare

Description:
Sold

Rare 1894 Winchester Takedown Short Rifle. .30 WCF with 20" round barrel and full magazine. Guaranteed it's a factory short rifle, all the dimensions are correct: muzzle diameter, front sight dimension, magazine hanger dimension, middle of rear sight to front of receiver dimension, and short forend wood. Nice bore and rifle functions nicely. Rifle is tight with no wiggle. Special order 3 Leaf Express rear sight. All markings are nice and sharp. Manufactured in 1910. Barrel and magazine tube retain 45-50% original blue with a gray / brown patina mixing in. One rough spot on barrel near right hand side by rear sight (see pic). Receiver retains maybe 10% of it's original blue, with the remainder a gray / brown patina. Both forend and buttstock are in good condition. They both show normal handling marks, bumps, dings, scrapes, and scratches. Wood is still proud (above the metal), and no apparent cracks. This is just an untouched factory Short Rifle that has seen some use but wasn't abused. Must ship to a FFL or Curio and Relics license holder. This firearm as with any other should be checked first by a gunsmith before any attempt is made to fire / operate it. Please feel free to ask questions.
