FANTASTIC WINCHESTER MODEL 1886 RIFLE IN DESIRABLE 45-90 WCF
Description: 26 inch round barrel chambered in the desirable 45-90 WCF caliber with an excellent bright shiny bore. Barrel and full length magazine tube retain most all of the original blue with just some very minor roughness on the right side of the mag tube by the muzzle. Original sights include a German silver blade front and a sporting rear. Strong vivid case colors on the receiver, hammer and forend cap. Receiver colors are silvered out on the bottom. Lever has traces of color with vivid colors in the protected areas. Bolt has strong blue as well. Crescent style rifle buttplate is a mottled gray with traces of color. Straight grain walnut stocks are in very good condition with just a few small dings and retain generous amounts of original varnish. Crisp functioning action. Includes a copy of a factory letter stating the configuration as well being received in the warehouse on November of 1892 and being shipped in May of 1893. This is an exceptional Winchester that was used very little and well taken care of. A real time capsule from 131 years ago.
