Description:
22 inch carbine configuration with saddle ring chambered in the desirable 45-90 WCF caliber. Sights include a Lyman brass beaded front and folding ladder carbine rear. Barrel appears to have some cold blue applied. Mag tube still has most blue. Receiver also has had some cold blue added but does have some blue showing through. Original saddle ring is present. Walnut forearm looks good while the buttstock is kinda rough. It has been repaired at the wrist and has some gouges and dings as well as a couple of cracks. Carbine buutplate. Crisp action and a very good bore should make this a great "Cowboy Action" carbine. 1886 carbines are getting really hard to find in any condition. Antique serial number show this one was made in 1892.
