Winchester Model 1873 Half Round Half Octagon Barrel 24

Description:
Winchester Model 1873 44 WCF custom shop rifle. Manufactured / Serial number applied February 29th, 1892. Buffalo Bill Cody Museum letter of authenticity.  Rifle with a 24" barrel 1/2 round 1/2 octagon with a rifle butt. Blueing on receiver faded but original as is the barrel blue.Barrel has a couple of small rough marks but not bad. Bore of this rifle is good for age the wood is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or splits evident anywhere. I believe the finish on the butt and forearm are original but someone may have added some oil, it is very hard to tell. Wood is proud to the metal and doesn't appear to ever had been sanded or altered. This was probably someones personal hunting gun because it was ordered with the afore mentioned special features. The rifle is well balanced and attractive.Considering this rifle is 132 years old it looks very good.
