Description:
Overall appearance of this all original, 130 year old piece of American history is very attractive. It has a consistent brown patina on all the metal parts. The bore is shiny with minimal corrosion and still showing strong lands the entire length. Barrell has correct markings with no caliber which is correct for this serial number. Has the proper carbine sights.
Wood is nice with consistent color showing normal wear and tear. Butt plate has trap door with cleaning rod set included.
Action is tight with no slop or droop in lever. I have never fired this rifle, but I see no reason why it would not perform properly. I would, however, recommend having it checked out professionally before firing if that is the intent.
Serial number is 67778 making this carbine a 2 nd model Mfg in 1881. This is a great example of an honest Winchester 1873 Carbine that would make a fine addition to your collection.
Price includes freight and insurance and can be shipped directly to you. No FFL required as this rifle is an antique.
