UNUSUAL WINCHESTER DELUXE 73
Description: This gun was probably made for a child or a woman. It is a special order extra rapid taper 1/2 oct bbl 22" in length. At the muzzle it measures just under 6/10 of an inch. A normal 32-20 would probably be a little over 76/100 of an inch. Quite a bit smaller than standard and I have never seen another one like it. Correct short rifle forearm. Factory Letter states all these features including the checkered pistol grip stock with shotgun butt. I removed the buttplate to view and there are 3 large holes where they reduced weight on the stock. Factory Letter states 7-1/4 lbs hence the hollowed out stock which also measures only 12-1/4". Original Factory work. Buttplate fits perfectly. Excellent condition with most orig stock varnish on 3X grade wood. Sharp checkering. Bbl retains about 90% blue having toned very slightly. Receiver is in excellent condition with about 40% case colors that are turning from vivid to a more silver color. Crisp tight action. Orig dust cover. A very unusual gun.
