24 inch round barrel that shows about 70% thinning finish turning brown. Very good bore is bright and fairly shiny with scattered areas of light pitting and strong rifling throughout. Original sights include No. 21 Sporting front with Nickel Silver insert with a No. 22 half buckhorn Sporting rear and a rare No. 62-B peep sight on the tang. Full length magazine shows about 60% thinning finish turned brown. Case hardened receiver shows faded remnants of finish with traces of color starting to take on a nickel appearance with the balance turned brown. Features a flat steel shotgun style buttplate and fancy walnut stocks that are solid and full fitting with light handling marks and an old worn coat of added finish. Included factory letter confirms it was manufactured in 1883 with a 38 Caliber Round barrel, a Plain trigger, Fancy stocks and a Peep sight.
