RARE WINCHESTER 1873 FIRST MODEL MUSKET WITH BAYONET
Description:
Standard 30 inch Musket configuration in 44 WCF caliber. This gun displays 10-15% original blue with the balance turned a plum coloration. Original sling swivels. Fitted with original bayonet that is in fine condition. Mechanics are crisp and tight. Original sights and correct thumbprint dust cover. Original wood has a few minor dings but generally VG+ with musket style buttplate. Very few of these muskets ever show up in a 1st Model configuration. They were all high numbered 3rd Models. I have only had about half a dozen 1st Models. Very nice specimen of a rare hard to find gun with there only being 500 1st Model Muskets made out of the 36,030 total production of Winchester Model 1873 Muskets. Complete with Factory Letter. Made in 1876.
