Winchester Model 71 Standard Grade Short Tang Variation In Unfired Condition

This Winchester was produced in 1954. The rifle's serial number is 39591. This rifle has the standard 24 inch barrel chambered to shoot the Winchester 348 W.C.F. cartridge. The sights are the standard sights for this model. The front sight hood is present on this Winchester. This Winchester is the latter model with the short upper tang. This rifle shows no sign of ever being fired. The original strong bluing would rate 100% condition. The only small blue loss spotted, is on the hammer from working the action. The stock and forend retain all of the original finish. The stock and forend are in new condition. The original steel butt plate has all of the bluing intact. The wood on this Winchester is really nice with some pretty graining. The only thing that you could do to upgrade this Winchester is to have the box! To find a Winchester Model 71 in this fine of condition is a true find! This Winchester would be a real show stopper for any collection!
