Winchester Model 53 Rifle 32-20 Winchester / 32 WCF Caliber

Description:
A Collector’s Nice, Used, Winchester Model 53 Rifle in 32-20 Caliber with 22-Inch Round Barrel; Half Magazine; Serial Number 99XX. The Barrel, Receiver, Patent, and Caliber Markings are Sharp and Correct, as are the Blued Magazine, Forend Caps, Lever and Serrated Steel Buttplate. A LYMAN stamped front bead sight (not numbered) is in place. The Stock and Forend are Smooth, Straight Grained and Dark with Age – having only a few blemishes. The Bore has some pitting, but has Sharp, Shootable Rifling. Mechanical functions are tight making this a shootable collector piece. Aside from a couple areas with light outside surface pitting on the barrel behind the muzzle, the metal finish is faded blue blended with smooth patina – as evidence of attentive care over the past (almost) 100 years. As usual, much more blue remains on the barrel compared to the receiver, lever, and other parts. Condition is best judged by the photos.
