WINCHESTER MODEL 1894 SHORT RIFLE IN CALIBER 30 WCF
Description:
20 inch octagon barrel chambered in 30 WCF caliber with full length magazine. Bright shiny bore. Blade front with a Williams blank in the rear dovetail and a folding Marble Arms tang sight. Someone did an excellent job of shortening the barrel to a more desirable 20 inch length, however, the magazine retaining band could fit better. Crisp action. One screw pin on either side of frame has been safely tacked in place. Frame is mostly a gray patina with traces of blue in protected areas. Barrel and magazine tube retain 85% original blue with some minor rough spots that could possibly be cleaned up. Wood is decent overall with minor bruises but none of the chipped corners you typically see on a gun that has been used. Minor signs of sanding on buttstock. Rifle buttplate. Made in 1917. Should make a good shooter!
