Winchester Model 1894 Semi-Deluxe Rifle in .30 WCF built in 1906
Description:
Serial #360966, .30 WCF (.30-30), 26" octagon barrel with a fine, bright bore that has some faint traces of freckling within the grooves at the muzzle. This is a handsome rifle that was made in 1906 and retains 80-85% of the original blue along the barrel and magazine tube, with silvering along the edges of the barrel facets, and on the magazine cap and bracket. The frame has a 75-80% of the original blue remaining, with gray fading along the forward portion and carry points. The lever has faded, but still visible color case-hardening, with the balance faded to a smooth pewter gray. The walnut forend and pistol-grip buttstock are in very good condition with minor handling marks scattered about the reapplied varnish, and the checkering has been refreshed at some point. The crescent steel buttplate has a pale gray patina with some scattered specks of freckling. This is a very nice example of a Model 1894 semi-deluxe rifle, in fine condition, and would make a splendid addition to any collection. FFL or C&R
