Winchester Model 1894 Deluxe Takedown Rifle in .25-35 W.C.F. Made in 1913
Description: WINCHESTER Model 1894 Rifle, Deluxe, Takedown, in .25-35 W.C.F. This is an interesting rifle. It has obviously been somewhat abused during its life, It has areas of pitting, the butt stock has been repaired with a couple of large screws, and there are 4 holes that have been drilled in the top of the barrel for what I assume would be scope mounting. That being said, It is a fairly rare variation of the model 1894. It is a very desireable TakeDown model. It is in .25-35 WCF Caliber. It is a Deluxe model with very worn factory checkering, and it has a pistol grip with a Winchester Grip cap. If this rifle was in excellent condition, it would sell for many thousands of dollars. This 1894 Deluxe rifle might be a cantidate for restoration. The bore is remarkably good and the action is tight. The rifle shoots good. It has the original sights. The front sight is adjustable for windage with a locking screw, and has a 1902 patent date on it. There is absolutely no play in the takedown feature. It has a 26" full octagon barrel and a full length magazine. It was made 111 years ago in 1913. This would look very cool hanging on your wall or actually using it to hunt deer to put venison in the freezer. It would be great for a late season doe hunt where shots would not be taken at long range. My gunsmith has inspected this rifle and we have both shot it at the range. It works great on tin cans and shooting steel. I'm sure that if this old 1894 could talk, it would tell some amazing stories. Thanks for looking! Buyer pays Insurance and Shipping costs.
