Description:
This Winchester Model 1895 was manufactured in 1906 and remains in very good overall condition. Wood is solid and stands proud showing only light scratches and use marks with nice finish. Metal still retains some original blue and has patinaed with age showing blue loss on high contact areas. There are several areas showing light oxidation. There is a spot a few inches in front of rear sight that has been worn down to bare metal and appears as if someone has tried to cold-blue. Crescent butt plate is worn or been replaced with no color at all. Bore is bright and very good. This gun is marked ".30 U.S. Mod. 1903" which is .30-03 Caliber. The stories this gun could tell after 116 years! 30 US
