Excellent Winchester Model 1894 Rifle 30 WCF Made in 1908
Description:
Serial #404193, .30-30, 26 inch octagonal barrel with a bright, excellent bore. This is the model 1894 Winchester manufactured in 1908 and remains in excellent condition. The barrel and frame retain about 90-95% of the original blue finish with loss from a few spotty areas of thinning, freckling and extremely light pitting that is visible under bright light but not felt when touched along the top facet sides of the barrel from the muzzle down about a third of the length and along the upper sides of the receiver and forend cap. The magazine tube remains with nearly all of the original finish. The lever and hammer show generous amounts of the original vibrant case-hardened color with more muted color on the butt plate with heavy freckling along its top edges. The original hardwood stock rate about excellent having a very light sanding and hand rubbed linseed oil finish with a few very light surface level contusions. It has a smooth, tight action and is sighted with an adjustable rear and silver blade front sight. An excellent looking 1894 rifle. FFL or C&R
