Winchester -- Model 94 Winchester Classic Rifle .30-30
Description:
Oops, I mistakenly deleted this listing when I intended to delete another. This is a beautiful example of a special edition 94 offered only for a few years in the late 1960s. Full 26 inch octagon barrel, fancy wood, engraved receiver, gold plated loading gate. Excellent condition. As a teenager, I fell in love with the gun when it appeared on the cover of the Winchester catalog. Many years later I bought this one new in box. A gunsmith professionally replaced the unwise stamped cartridge elevator with a proper pre-64 machined gun steel replacement; installed the Lyman tang sight and the alternative folding rear site (original rear sight, as shown, included in this sale, should you want to take her back to "original.") I enjoyed some excellent target accuracy and recall once taking two nice deer as fast as I could shuck the lever. Love the rifle version of an 1894 and promptly bought another, made in 1924. Thus, this later model has been properly maintained in my safe for a number of years. She needs to go to someone who will take her out to play.
Please examine the photos, which are the best description, and ask any questions.
I'm not a gun dealer. Just an older guy moving a few safe queens into appreciative hands who will use guns that need to be used. Accordingly, I am not set up to accept credit cards, PayPal, etc., Will accept check or money order and ship to your FFL as soon as funds clear. Sale to United States citizens and shipment to United States addresses only. Fixed shipping and insurance cost of $60 to continental US. Alaska or Hawaii, of course, shipped at actual cost. Once you pick up the gun from your FFL, enjoy a 3 day inspection period. If not satisfied, return the gun within the 3 day period in the same condition at your cost. Upon my receipt of the gun, I will refund the purchase price.
