Pre 64 Winchester Model 70 transition era 270. Mint
Description: A special Model 70 in both condition and configuration. This is a pristine and quite scarce transition era rifle with clover leaf tang and the unique clam shell safety in ever popular .270 Win. caliber. These were only made from 1946-1948. This one is S/N 63856 with matching # bolt made in 1947. I have had many over the years, but this one is certainly among the very best. Incredible condition throughout showing 99% original finishes on both metal and wood. 24" barrel with superb bore. Mechanical functions are also flawless.
