WINCHESTER SCHUETZEN HIGH WALL MODEL 1885 RIFLE IN 38-55, MADE IN 1887

Description:
This gun is in very fine overall condition, with traces of original case colors on the frame and most of the blue on the barrel present. The rifle features fancy wood stock with cheek relief and a very early scope that is, essentially a shiny hollow tube with a reticle. The tube free floats back and forth about 4 inches in the mounts which is exactly how it should fucntion, otherwise you cant even manually cock the hammer. When the rifle is fired, the scope moves forward following the recoil, allowing to reload the chamber. Bore is excellent, shiny with strong rifling, action is crisp and tight. No license needed to buy except NJ and NY residents.
