WINCHESTER MODEL 1876 EARLY OPEN TOP RIFLE IN CALIBER 45-75
Description:
28 inch octagon barrel chambered in 45-75 WCF caliber with full length magazine tube. Excellent bright shiny bore. German silver blade front and and a folding ladder "76" style rear sight. Barrel and mag have about 95% blue starting to tone slightly. Nice markings and sharp corners. Receiver has most all the blue with the exception of the front half has slid across something leaving scratches. English proofs and London Armory marking on the side plate indicating it went to England. Hammer and lever have dimming case colors. Wood is in very good condition with most original varnish on the buttstock. Forearm has some roughness with most of that on the left side. Rifle style buttplate. Overall gun has seen very little use. Crisp tight action. This is a fine original gun. Research Form included.
